Introduction: Lio Beach, More than a Beach

If you’re looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of El Nido’s main town, Lio Beach provides a much cleaner, quieter, experience with a spacious, swimmable beachfront. Beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings all come together in perfect harmony to create this close-knit community. Join us at Lio Tourism Estate and experience a world where the beauty of nature meets the comforts of modern living. Welcome to paradise.

Exploring this Paradise Neighborhood

Lio Neighborhood is home to many activities that refresh your soul and connect you with nature. Whether you’re seeking a relaxing vacation, a new home, or in the mood for a warm and hearty breakfast, a delicious lunch, or a comforting dinner, the neighborhood has something for you. Enjoy top-notch accommodations at one of the many hotels and resorts, where you can lounge by the pool, indulge in a spa treatment, or dine on delectable cuisine. For the adventurous spirit, there’s an endless array of activities to explore, from kayaking and surfing to hiking and beachcombing.

Plus with a range of retail shops, restaurants, and other services just a stone’s throw away, you’ll have everything you need right at your fingertips. This is your chance to immerse yourself in nature and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Wake up to a gorgeous view of Lio Beach and start your day with a cup of coffee at Kalye Artisano. Don’t forget to catch up with the community and get the latest scoop on surf conditions, events, and new openings in the area. Take a leisurely bike ride through Tulay Suhai and immerse yourself in the lush tropical scenery, who knows you might even spot a long-tailed Macaque. Get your work done at Liam’s Beach Cafe while having brunch, or start your day on a zen note with a yoga session with Bek at Yoga Tayo (there’s also refreshing coconut for you to enjoy). If you’re looking for a healthy morning meal, grab a Power Bowl or a delicious coffee with a stunning beach view.

For lunch, satisfy your cravings at The Clay Kitchen for wood-fired brick-oven pizza, or treat yourself to the mouth-watering roasted pork belly and ribs. Seafood lovers can indulge in the freshest catch at Red Crab. If you’re looking for a wider range of options, head to Globy’s conveniently located by the pier. There’s also a gen waiting for you to discover – Punta Playa, which is a Chiringuito (pronounced chee-reeng-gee-toh), a traditional Spanish bar and restaurant along the Mediterranean coast. For seafood and Filipino hits, pop into Elnido Grill right at the center of it all.

Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without some afternoon snacks. Indulge in some goodness at the new La Moro Hill Bakery. Known for its mouth-watering sourdough loaves baked fresh daily by the talented Yana, this bakery is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. But that’s not all – La Moro Hill is also a commissary supplying bread to many local establishments and residents. So what’s on the menu, you ask? Some of the most popular items include the flaky Sagana Croissant and the cinnamon-sugar-coated Cinnamon Knots. And let’s talk about the beach setup. Picture this: a beautiful picnic basket filled with refreshing drinks, delicious pastries, and a cozy banig. What more could you want on a sunny day at the beach? For coffee lovers, Lamoro Hill has got you covered with a drink menu that’s reminiscent of Islas Makinas, featuring a variety of coffee options that will satisfy any caffeine craving. But wait, there’s more! La Moro Hill is about to launch a Gin & Tonic program, featuring creative and fun drinks that are perfect for a day in paradise.

All hotels are within a minute’s walk to a clean and beautiful beach with a variety of restaurants and shops nearby. A quiet nightlife exists with a few drinks in hand, this place is a great area to escape the crowds. For activities, there’s a number of water sports equipment for rent, beach bikes, and even a gym with free access to Lio hotel guests. The proximity of Lio Airport makes for an easy staycation. Exploring the town just 25 minutes south is easy as there’s a free hourly shuttle, shuffling guests back and forth. Half an hour north takes you to Nacpan Beach and just a little further is Duli Beach where you can surf.

Lonely Planet describes Lio Beach, “The wealthy Ayala conglomerate, in conjunction with Ten Knots Travel, are developing this wide white-sand beach 7km north of El Nido proper into a swanky world-class resort area. For now, it remains almost empty save for a few early-adopting restaurants and half-built hotels, so finding your own private patch of sand shouldn’t be a problem.”

Casa Kalaw

IG @casakalaw

Casa Kalaw was the first Lio hotel to open with 42 rooms. This boutique hotel is perfect for bigger groups traveling together as the rooms are more spacious, it has its own pool and bar. Casa Kalaw was named the endemic hornbill bird. A stay in Kalaw gives you some insight into Filipino culture and design with modern touches. For those on a staycation or who want to relax after a tour, their in-house spa provides services to help you out. For your hunger, the in-house restaurant serves Filipino cuisine while the bar has Filipino snacks to go along with drinks.

Hear from others… Vern & Verneice wrote about Casa Kalaw in their post, “An affordable luxury hotel in El Nido.” Popular local blogger, Out of Town did a full review on Casa Kalaw.
