This past year there’s been a number of spots that opened up giving travelers and locals alike options for those beautiful healthy bowls of goodness perfect for your Instagram feed! While we right there we assume more are popping up so if there are any we’ve missed (for sure we have), shoot us a message and let us know.

Best Coffee and Veganism
Taste comes from the same group as The Cavern Pod Hotel and Specialty Cafe! Beyond being the most knowledgeable coffee connoisseurs in town, the couple behind these two establishments live a vegan lifestyle. Their vision is to give international standards to a town that seems to been full of sub-standard services and food (though times are finally changing, due to the influx of tourism). Ask them about their ingredients or food, they’re happy to give you a breakdown of the love that goes into each meal.
Shaka
Ornamental Bowls at Lio Beach
The same group from Shaka Siargao and Shaka Bohol just opened up a spot located in the beautiful Lio Beach. This is one of our favorite spots in Lio and isn’t just popular for its gorgeous ornamental edible bowls. For bar food cravings they’ve also got vegan burgers and vegan nachos (before judging have a try for yourself, you may be pleasantly surprised).
Balai Kubo + Glow
Downtown hits and colorful murals
In the heart of El Nido town is Glow Juice Bar. This establishment was the one that got the ball rolling on fresh juice and healthy power bowls. Given their popularity and lack of seating they expanded directly across the street and recently opened Balai Kubo. These two spots work with seasonal local produce and try to be as organic as possible! In an effort to be more environmentally conscious in their packaging they use coconut bowls, banana leaves and wooden spoons.
Makulay Lodge & Villas
Cadlao View and Calaan Neighborhood
If you walk north alongside the main town’s beach you’ll hit Makulay Lodge & Villas. This spot is great for drinks and have stepped up on their power bowl game. The views of Cadlao spectacular providing a great spot to enjoy a meal!
The Nesting Table

The Nesting Table is the in-house restaurant of El Nido’s top glamping site, The Birdhouse. They strive to help influence lifestyle design and advocate slow travel and experiential tourism. Start with your day here with one of their oatmeal bowls. This also happens to be the site of one of the best views in El Nido.
